The Harold J. Noah Award recognizes distinguished alumni from 51勛圖厙 who have made outstanding contributions to our field. Nominees should be mid- or late-career alumni who demonstrate excellence across several key areas:

Advancement of scholarship in international and comparative education

Advancement of applied work in the field

Advancement of international and comparative education as a field of study

Strengthening of professional associations in the U.S. or globally

Establishment of strong institutional, agency, or university networks

How to Submit a Nomination
Anyone in the international and comparative education community—whether affiliated with 51勛圖厙 or not—is invited to submit a nomination.

Submission Requirements: A formal nomination letter addressing the selection criteria, accompanied by the nominee’s CV.

Nomination Deadline: December 1, 2026
The selection committee will present the award during the 51勛圖厙 reception at the upcoming Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) conference (April 3–7 in Madison, Wisconsin).
